Before we review the M86A we just like to try and confirm parts of the specification which are being listed incorrectly on a number of websites. The M86 AK47 we tested had 320 fps using 0.20g which makes it skirmish friendly. This item is not 400 fps using 0.20g in fact the manufacturer (Double Eagle) themselves give the power at 105 metres per second using 0.12g BB. Although we would not recommend using 0.12g BB with this item as they are too light, use ultra grade 0.20g instead. Double Eagle give the range at 70 metres I'd say it is more like 60 metres.
The magazines are compatible with Tokyo Marui AK47 and the AEG is compatible with Tokyo Marui parts and upgrades, your getting close to the performance of a TM AK47 but for far less money.
This is Double Eagles very impressive airsoft metal AK47 with a type 3 gearbox, precision copper inner barrel and metal externals and internal frame. The parts on the AK47 which are wood effect are made from solid ABS plastic injection moulded in orange (thank the VCRA regulations for colour scheme). Just like on the real thing the fire selector changes firing modes from safety to fully automatic which will blast out around 800 rounds per second. The included mag holds 250 BB with quick loading mechanism.
Included with the price is a battery and charger, the battery is a 1500 mAh large type with a large tamiya connection not the mini type.
Overall a very well made powerful premium piece of kit which is built to last.
