What are Airsoft BB Guns?

Air Soft Guns are 1/1 scale two tone or transparent replicas of the actual guns manufactured by such famouse names as Colt, Smith & Wesson and Walther to name but a few. Airsoft guns are available in many different forms such as sniper rifles, machines guns and pistols.

Airsoft guns and rifles should not be confused with air rifles, airsoft guns sold by Geniestuff are not cabable of penertrating the body. Firing 6mm BB plastic bullets, these replicas are intended for "plinking" and general fun gunning. The power is measured in joules, - one joule being the maximum power of any model supplied by GenieStuff shop and with some Airsoft gun and pistols as low as 0.02 joules in power. To provide a comparison, 0.5 joules equals the bounce back force of a tennis ball dropped onto a hard service from 1 metre high. 1 joule is equal to 1.4ft lb.

Manufactured mostly in plastic, metal and high impact ABS resin. Air Soft Guns are now made from transparent or two tone material to avoid confusion with real firearms.

AirSoft guns are totally harmless providing safety rules are observed. An instruction manual is included inside each box, explaining the funtion of the model and the safety rules to respect, also see the Airsoft Safety section. All KWC Air Soft guns sold by GenieStuff are certified IS09002 Most Airsoft guns, rifles, pistols and shotguns are powered by air and plunger systems, but there are also gas, electric and now CO2 powered models. Airsoft gun shooting is proberly one of the safest and most popular sports enjoyed in the world today.

Airsoft Gun Specifications

Spring Operated Only - Cock the Airsoft gun each time by sliding the top action backwards and forwards.

Hop Up - The "Hop Up" system is available in both spring and gas operated airsoft bb gun models. The basic theory is spin! When the 6mm BB pellet is fired from your air soft gun or rifle there is a friction on the upper side of the BB pellet creating an upward spin. This offsets the effect of gravity, wind power and air friction and pushes the BB pellet to travel a longer distance.

Recoil Blowback - As above but the top sliding action of the Airsoft gun or Airsoft rifle flies back on each shot thus giving a full recoil effect.

Pocket Model - This is the range of small pocket size air soft guns that have proved themselfs popular amongst air soft gun collectors consisting of Hop Up, Gas and now the increased power Magtop models.

Mini Electric Series - Miniature rifle series. Powered by 4xAA batteries and can fire up to 130 6mm BB pellets automatically in one burst.

Electric! - This means no cocking required, simply insert the required batteries and the airsoft gun or airsoft rifle is ready for action, fast firing and full auto recoil effect when fired.

Co2 powered - These Airsoft models are powered by Co2 capsule which fits inside the gun and enables the gun to be operated semi-automatically without the need to cock each time between shots.
